The Buy with confidence scheme puts consumers in touch with approved traders who have agreed to provide high levels of customer service, including dealing promptly with complaints.Any business can apply to join. The list of approved traders runs from builders to financial advisors and from opticians to upholsterers. East Sussex County Council Trading Standards launched the scheme in 2004 and now have 400 businesses, making the East Sussex Buy With Confidence scheme one of the largest Trading Standards approval schemes in the UK.
